I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil where I majored in data processing.
After graduating from the top technological university in Brazil, I immigrated to United States to further growth of my skills and professional capacities. Eight years ago I arrived in Boston with a dream. I’ve learned that the search of self-improvement and a better life can be a long and difficult road, but that there are rewards to pushing and challenging yourself far beyond your comfort zone. I landed in Boston with low levels of English proficiency and high levels of motivation to learn. I quickly acquired English fluency. The owner of the school recognized my skills and work ethic and soon hired me to work with agencies from all over the world to recruit students. Within a short time I was not only promoted to manage a team of 5 employees, but I was also in charge of maintaining the website: designing, coding, including taking lead in the complete redesign of the site. While my work at Approach was useful experience, I still wanted to further develop my design and development skills and continue my experience at a large company. I started my position as a full-time web designer and developer at athenahealth almost 3 years ago.
I’ve been a designer and front-end developer for 6 years and currently live in Boston... and all over the internet.
The logo was designed to play with the initials. Because "Passos" in English means steps I designed in a way to make everything connected since you can't walk without steps.
